Yes yes… as we’re in the middle of creating our new album, we’ve got a few shows coming up where we’ll be playing new and old tunes. Last weekend at Stantonova with Tango Alpha Tango was a damn blast, thanks to all who came out!
Well well well… it’s been about 10 months since our last show, and we’re stoked to be playing at Backspace this Saturday! Joining us are a couple brilliant bands… The Greater Midwest and Nathan Trueb (from Tango Alpha Tango). Come out for some turkey recovery in the form of rock!
Hey all you sexy people, Paper or Plastic is here to warm you up with some crushing rock!!!
We have a few really exciting shows at some great venues on both coasts. And playing with us are some of our favorite bands!!! They go as follows:
Nov 20 – NYC – Lit Lounge, w/ Rocket Stove Workshop & Mainland Fever
Nov 27 – Portland – Backspace
Dec 4 – Brooklyn – Cameo Gallery, w/ The Toothaches
If that isn’t enough, one lucky audience member at each show will be rewarded with a large, living plant. That’s right, you can finally bring the beauty of nature to your concrete jungle, courtesy of P or P!!!!
Details to follow on each show. Hope to see all you pretty folks soon!!!
This ran in the Portland Tribune just before our CD release show at Music Millennium!
Just in time for the great debate brewing in Oregon over those wicked plastic grocery bags, Paper or Plastic is returning to the town that birthed it. Formed in Portland in 2003 by frontman David Pollock, Paper or Plastic is an irresistibly catchy crew of indie pop rockers who now include Japanese guitarist Kenta Yonesaka and Oregonians Ian Millhollen on bass, Joey Harmon on drums and tenor saxophonist Ian Christensen. Now based in New York City, the band has played the Vans Warped Tour, opened for all the right people and garnered critical acclaim for its clever, infectious melodies and well crafted lyrics.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, hold out your hands and close your eyes, because Paper or Plastic has a surprise for you!
We’ve become filmmakers. That’s right, Paper or Plastic has crossed that line that everyone has told us to avoid, with our very own “Low Budget Film.” It’s a music video set to our song called… “Low Budget Film.”
We took a few days off, rented a camera, and traveled to Eugene, Oregon, where we found the PERFECT location to shoot our video. We don’t know squat about lighting, and we don’t really give a shit about white balance; we just want to give you something fun to watch with a song off our new EP, “Ron Save The King”– which is out on CD Friday, August 6th.
We are psyched about our foray into the world of film, and we know that once you check it out, you will be too!
Hoping the summer is going great for everyone! We’re extremely excited about what the month of August has in store for us. Check it out:
We will play an in-store show at Music Millennium on East Burnside in Portland this Friday, August 6th. We’ll hit the stage at 6 PM to celebrate the CD release of our new EP, “Ron Save the King”! This is our first Portland show of the summer, and we plan to rock stupid hard for your enjoyment before we head back to the East.
Our new record, “Ron Save The King,” will be available on disc at Music Millennium. This will be a FREE show, so bring everyone you have EVER met, and more; let’s rage at the Millennium! Pick up a new album while you’re at it!
After this week, be on the lookout for upcoming New York shows as we set out to do it big on both coasts!
